Ocean Suites Motel

We have been coming to Brookings since our Sons were babies..this time we came for my 41st birthday and we had not yet stayed at the Ocean suites.. We were more then pleased with this sweet little spot. Located in the Brookings harbor it is close the our favorite drive up beach spot, restaurants and our Sons favorite arcade. The rooms have little kitchens and an extra room for our boys to have their own space. The room was very clean, quite and cute! Staying here really made our trip special. The staff was really nice.. when we left I accidentally left my wrings behind and they were able to call us before leaving town to come get them..very sweet. We will be back!

This place is excellent - absolutely 5 stars. The staff are amazing, and the rooms are really nice for the price. The overall premises are well-mainted and they via their policies, they ensure that all guests are chill and respectful. 5 stars for sure!

Don't let the name "motel" dissuade you! This place was great! Thoughtful touches, well laid out and stocked. Staff were super nice! We only stayed there one night and thought it be just OK for our needs. We both thought we could come back for a week and make it our "base" to explore further another time. Highly recommend!

This location directly contrasts against the stereotypes of motels. From check in all the way to retrieving a lost item, the employees were amazing and so was their service. The rooms were also quite nice. What really sealed the deal for me was the food guide they provide, we went to two places for dinner and brunch and the food was great.

We absolutely loved our stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. Everyone – from reception to housekeeping – was genuinely friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. It really felt like they cared about making our stay special. The room and the entire property were spotless. Cleanliness is something I truly value when traveling, and this place exceeded all expectations — everything felt fresh and well taken care of. I also really appreciated that it’s a pet-free hotel. It made the atmosphere calm, hygienic, and comfortable, which added a lot to the overall experience. Thank you for the great hospitality and the warm atmosphere — we had such a pleasant time and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and welcoming place to stay!

We decided to take a trip to Brookings for our anniversary. Looking at pricing for the time we were there I found Ocean Suites Motel to be the most bang for the buck. Minutes away from anything in the area this two room suite with kitchen gave us enough room to feel like we weren’t in a hotel room but a small apartment. The kitchen was stocked with the basics. Plates, cups, stovetop cookware and plenty of utensils. The shape of the room made the couch sit at a weird angle to the tv. When I squared up the couch by pulling it forward I could tell the vacuum hasn’t been ran there in some time. It wasn’t dirty by any means but the amount of arachnid corpses and other bugs were shocking. I’m not sure what spiders laid to rest there but seeing how large the dead were, I wouldn’t want to see them alive. Besides seeing under the couch, I would stay there again and tell my people to stay there as well. 4.7 out of 5

Will definitely stay here again. Everything was clean and comfortable. The two beds being in separate rooms was nice, and they each had their own thermostat. Its a nice walk away from the beach, and very little road noise since its not on main street.
